Ljubljana Market and fresh wood fruits

Me encanta el Mercado de Ljubljana, el que ponen justo entre el río y la Catedral... Miles de puestos de todo tipo, desde artesanía de mimbre o madera, puestos de pasteles con horno incluido!(otro día hablo de este puesto) , salchichas, hasta los típicos puestos donde se venden verdura y frutas. Ahora es la época de la Jabolka Elstar, manzana rica rica rica...

Y algo que me encanta de Eslovenia y de este mercado (en general, de cualquier mercado en centroeuropa, imagino)...la posibilidad de comprar frutos del bosque frescos...Por estas latitudes esto sólo se ve en el Corte Inglés, y medio kilo de frambuesas te puede costar perfectamente 8 euros...

Mientras estuve allí y fue la temporada, me hinché a comer arándanos y frambuesas frescos, para mí, el paraíso.

Además, debe haber sobreabundancia de arándanos, porque en el supermercado encuentras diversas marcas de zumos de este fruto, una de las más populares era Fructal.
Dioooooooosssss...qué rico estaba.

I loved Ljubljana Market, the one between river and Cathedral...Thousands of stalls of everything...handcrafts, cakes with movil-oven include! (I'll talk about this another day), sausages, and also the typical stalls where fruit and vegetables are sold. Now it's time of Jabolka Estar, a delicious apple.

And something I love from Slovenia, and of this market (I suppose that any market in this zone of Europe)...the possibility of getting fresh wood fruits...In Spain, the only way to buy the is in a popular department store called "El Corte Inglés" , and uses to be very expensive, it's common you'll have to pay 8 euros for 500 gr of cranberries...

While I were in Slovenia, and while it was the season, I ate tons of cranberries and raspberries....Real paradise for me...

Moreover , may be Slovenia has cranberries superavit, because you can find in supermarket many kinds of juices and nectars, one of the most popular was Fructal.
Oh my god...how delicious!!!

La tienda más cuca de Ljubljana

Along Stari trg and its prolonging, Mestni trg, there is many porches that have a little yard with shops inside. That's something I really loved of Ljubljana. Actually both streets (Stari and Mestni) deserve a blog appart, because of their coffes, restaurants and shops were really nice...

These porches look like this:


In one of this porches (Im sorry, I dont remember the number, but it's easy to find it), in the right side when you come direction Mestni trg, you can find in one of these yards a small but really really cute shop that, oh my god, when I discovered it I almost die...In a very small place, there is a lot of Hello Kitty and another "oriental friends style" products. Really good and original things for making a gift...But just a bit expensive, that's the true...Anyway, you must come in if you like this kind of details :)

A lo largo de la calle Stari trg y su prolongación Mestni trg hay varios portones con un gran zaguán que dan a pequeños patios con tiendecitas. Esto es algo que me encantó de Ljubljana. La verdad es que estas dos calles merecen un blog aparte, porque sus cafés, restaurantes y tiendas me parecían de lo mejor de la zona comercial de la ciudad.

Concretamente en uno de estos portones (lo siento, no recuerdo el numero, pero vamos, tampoco hay tantos de estos portones), en la acera de la derecha si vas desde Stari trg hacia Mestni trg , encontramos un patio con una tienda que, oh dios mío, el día que la descubrimos, casi me da un tabardillo...Se trata de un pequeñísimo espacio que está especializado en productos de Hello Kitty y otras lindezas orientales. Los precios, un poco altos, la verdad, pero merece la pena entrar si te gustan este tipo de detalles.
